I'm in love with my best friends boyfriend. Will this ruin our friendship?

In this type of situation, you need to see all sides and think very carefully before you do anything. For example, maybe put yourself in her shoes. How would you feel if your best friend wanted the guy you are in love with? Something tells me it wouldn't go over very well.

Your best friend has probably been there through thick and thin with you. Would you really want to hurt her, and likely ruin your friendship with her? Friends are always going to be there for you. Guys/boyfriends; they come and go. Think of the future. What happens when you break up with this guy? You'll be out a boyfriend, and a best friend.

A possible solution would be to not hang around this guy so much, and focus on someone new. There are plenty of other guys out there. So keep your options open and find a guy that picks you first and is drawn to you first, not your best friend.

In the case that this guy is your best friends ex, then you need to look at the situation very carefully. For instance, who broke up with who? Are they both over each other? After all, you don't want to be dating someone that your best friend is still in love with. That could cause many problems. And, you don't want a guy who is still in love with another girl.

You really need to talk to her. And tell her how you feel. Make sure it's ok with her that you are in love with her ex, and that you want to pursue him. You need to think of your friendship first: it's the most valuable thing you have.

It is a very tricky situatuion, but you need to do what's best for you, and hope you do the right thing without causing others pain. Look at your friend and see if she is really worth losing over a guy.
